Desert Cans

Desert Cans was not an intentional business. In 2016, Marcus discovered a treasure of vintage beer cans in a retail attic space. Hundreds of them abandoned by their previous owner and were long forgotten. Knowing these were special and unique, Marcus decided to save them for a future purpose. A year later while helping a friend buy cacti for her home décor business, he was struck with an idea. Marcus bought a tray of cacti and succulents, planted a few for himself, and asked his friends what they thought. Everyone loved them and wanted one. When the demand started to grow, Marcus knew this had changed from an idea to a business. Before he knew it, he was selling to local retailers and restaurants in Costa Mesa. And that’s when Desert Cans was born.
