WHY YOU SHOULD BE USING SOAP BARS (SOAP BAR 101) 🧡
TRAVEL
One more time for the folks in the back!
TRAVEL.
Who wants to pack a bunch of liquid and a bunch of bottles to hold that liquid?
*crickets*
We've all been there. Arrived at our destination, eager to settle in so we take out our best vaca attire only to find our shampoo everywhere...
This has got to be my number one reason for using bars.
*One side of hassle free please.*
Bars are lightweight, sleek, and darn easy to pack. My favorite way to pack are in tins, mason jars, soap containers, parchment paper, woven soap bags, etc.
NO PACKAGING
I don't know about you but, in a world oversaturated with bottled packaging its nice to have products around your home that aren't constantly marketing (barking) at you. Plus you reduce your need for another bottle you will eventually throw away. It also creates a different aesthetic, dare I say unique.
There's something oddly satisfying about my shower shelf which contains only ONE bamboo soap shelf holding my shave bar, underarm detox bar, and body wash bar.
No bottles to get knocked over or break in the shower either :)
Pro tip: Keep shampoo and conditioner bars under the bathroom sink, only bringing them out on wash days. This keeps them away from excess moisture, increasing their longevity.
SAVES $$ & PRODUCT
Its easy to over use liquid. A pump more here and there and I've found myself going through product quicker than needs to be used.
*trigger happy*
Soap bars are also more concentrated.
A little goes a long way saving you money in the long run.
Ever purchase a ginormous bottle of shampoo and conditioner only to find yourself tired of it after the first month?
A waste of product and money.
Bars come in a variety of sizes. A starter or travel size allows you to have a trial period before committing to a full size bar.
Genius.
SOAP BARS HOLD A LONG HISTORY
The use of soap bars date back to Ancient Middle East and Rome, industrial production started around the 19th century. Bars have retained popularity. So much so, soap making is common hobby.
